'68 Beaumont - Restoration Underway

Hello CanadianPoncho Team!

I'm onto my second Beaumont, unfortunately my first one was a bondo disaster and I had to recently pull the plug... saved many parts and will use on my 68 SD 396 frame-up build project which has just started to really get going...  It'll be a Tripoli Turquoise car with black interior.  It will have a '70 LS6 short block with GMPP aluminum Oval Port Heads, Performer RPM dual plane intake, 870 carb, Straub cam.  TH400 with 3000(ish) stall converter, and a 12-bolt with 3.73's.  Just clearing out the garage and will start the frame assembly this week... Very excited to start making some visible progress!!  Pic below is a few months old.  Car on left is the old car which became the donor of many items.  Sadly, it looked MUCH better than it really was.  I started to repair it but decided it was too far gone.  What a shame.

Looking forward to posting progress pics soon and surely I'll be looking for advice and items from the rest of this community!  Going out to the garage now....

Excellent idea to start a thread on this Matt.

Cool car... Originally a TH400? Bench/bucket?

Thanks, I can't wait to get this car done, I've been without a Beaumont on the road for too long! Originally a 4-speed with buckets. It will have buckets but no 4-speed... At least for now.
