I have already said no to multiple people offering $4,500.
DO NOT MESSAGE ME WITH COMMENTS OR OPINIONS!
Only message me if you would like to make an offer of $5,000 or more!
Why the hell would I say NO to $4,500 and say yes to $1,000?
If you want this car, you have to pay the price, that's life.

Thank you for not wasting my time.

I'm selling this car for my father in law.  2nd Owner. all original
Car still available until further notice

straight six engine
needs some body work
frame is rusted badly
everything else in mint condition on car
car runs great

"AS IS"

Car has not been driven in 30 years but still runs great
odometer says 35,000 but i believe that is in miles, if not then it's 35,000 km but i believe it's miles so that would be 61,000 = 35,000 miles

Exactly, and that car is going to need $$$$. Plus his attitude doesn't help in asking for his sale price. He could just as easily put $5000 firm and watch no one respond at all.

judging by the current ad and the previous thread, the seller is still clueless.

Almost the same thing but maybe better.

Kijiji: 1969 Pontiac Beaumont for Sale

1969 Pontiac Beaumont for sale as is . This car is a complete rebuild. The back end is quite rotted. Frame has rot on the back passenger side. Comes with new trunk pan and front disc break conversion. Dash has cracks in it, ceiling needs to be re-upholstered, seats are good. I am told the engine was fogged and did run last summer prior to us purchasing it, we never tried running it though. Automatic transmission, glass is all intact. Comes with new truck basin. Needs work, project car ...

Too bad the car was left sitting outside for so long as it probably would be in mint condition today if it had been stored properly inside.

All that said, the price for a mint, perfect, rust-free (not "no extra charge for the rust") 6 cyl Beaumont would still likely top out around 10 grand in today's stale market.

The seller should accept whatever offer he can get, and "grab and run" if anybody actually offered $4500 as claimed.

Too bad he never offered any "money shots" of the frame, floors, trunk pan, etc.  There's always the chance that it's not as bad as it sounds, but from looking at those rotten, bondoed fenders and quarters I'd say the frame must be rotten too.

Unfortunately, this car is probably not much more than a parts car now, unless somebody is ready to step up and throw money at it that they will never get back.  Given that nobody seems to want to do that for a 1-of-17 427 Parisienne in similar condition, I highly doubt this Beaumont will ever see a buyer, except for the scrap yard that eventually hauls it away to be crushed.

Too bad.  no

Well,

In the previous thread, the gentleman claims that he thought it would be worth the same as a Chevelle..call me crazy but a V6 Chevelle in that kind of shape wouldn't fetch $5000 either IMHO...

The only way I can see him making that kind of money out of this car would be to part it out...but you'd be hard pressed to get much out of the body..

I wish him well...

...Now re-listed at $4500 OBO... Why wouldn't he just contact one of the "multiple people already offered $4500"?? LOL. Car is just about worthless, no-one will restore the poor old 6-banger car, and really - why would they? Unless someone needs some trim/interior parts I suppose. $1000 sounds about right (maybe?), if anyone at all wants it.

This smacks of street apprasials. My inlaws neighbor had a 68 dark green mustang coupe she had bought new and although she maintained the car and drove it somewhat sparingly by the early 90's it looked much like this Beaumont. Basicly maintained and relatively original down to the hubcaps but not really worth the effort of a redo on a base green coupe as far gone as this one had become. Her mechanic advised her to park it for safety concerns. Problem was she was a sweet old lady that had been schmoozed in every grocery store parking lot for two decades about selling her baby and when it was time to sell it was too late. She (and her non car enthusiest kids) thought it was ultra desirable and priced it out of the market so badly it sat around for a few years (I swear you could hear it rusting through the fence at my inlaws, lol) and was towed away when they moved by ? Probably a scrap guy. Hope this one escapes that fate and donates parts to a deserving car.
