Interesting project ....Is the powertrain original ?  If so ,do you know the HP rating of the engine ?  ( 303 or 333?).

Is this the original color combo?

The original colour was White I believe and I'm not sure about the hp rating. 4 spd was added later to replace original 3 spd, they also added the 8 lug super duty wheels and drums.  the car comes with an extra set of wheels. I wanted a spare but the guy would only sell the full set of 4.

Doubt it's a 333hp if it was a 3spd. 'bolt action' shifter!! Likely a 2 bbl. 287 hp. or somewhere around there!! Like to see the pass. side of intake to see if it's a org. or close engine!!! My high school friend had a 62 G/P way back then & it was a 333HP & he just found out awhile ago that there weren't very many built with that option. He has the blue & white one now from B/C but NOT a 333hp.Picture 188.jpgPicture 189.jpg

From what I can see the timing cover has the 4 bolt water pump correct for 1962. Also the fuel line on a 62 with an AFB enters the rear left side of the carb while the 2 bbl Rochester enters at the right front. Looks like no power steering or brakes. It seems unusual for a posi with a three speed trans but maybe because of the 4 barrel carb it was ordered that way.

Fuel line looks likes it's 'neoprene' most of the way, so intake 'could" have been changed to 4 bbl.?? who knows after all this time & how many people have changed things out, re 4spd, trans & 8 lugs etc. from the stock way the car was built!! I wonder if it's got the correct 4spd. in it as these were a long tailshaft, & the trans was tilted on the bell hsg. a few degrees to fit in the narrow tunnel!! If the body is not bad it's priced well, but will have to put some $$ into it too!!!  Under the 10 g's so should sell!!!!

Sending the VIN to PHS would answer all the questions.
