My Grandfather was a F**d man. He bought a 67 Custom, 4 door sedan, no radio, P/s, 289/auto, Black/Blue interior, blue wheels w/dog dishes. Bought it new, drove it very little, and some moron drove into the front end, almost taking it clean off the car. that was in the early 80's. When he passed, the car was mine if I wanted it. I live in Calgary and the car was in Peterborough. Anyways, my mom called one of these towing companies to haul it away, and the guy said he wouldn't without giving her something for it, because other than the front end, the car was mint. It only had 73,000 MILES on it. The guy offered her $400 for it and hauled it away.
To answer your question about these cars, Yes, I have a soft spot for them. I actually owned a 67 LTD 4 door HT for a while.

LOL, I've actually owned several of that brand as well as a few Chry***rs, add in an AM* as well... Always come back to GM though. With my driving, I found the Rearends in the Chrys***s are weak, and the Trannys in the F**ds are weak...LOL Never had any issues the GMs and with my little hornet wagon , it kept going and going and going.....  Heres another one I had... LOL

Buyer Beware this car was mine before it was rear ended and the insurance company wrote it off. i have tried to talk to this person many times but he will not respond back to me i will post the v.i.n.# soon. this person keeps taking the ad down the back up most of the time with a new price, started at 5000, then ad for trade goldwing bike or equal trade of 14,000 The 1st 3 pics are his note the 3rd pic missing trim above right rear,(was hard to find but now he has it) 4th pic is before he got the car (what was left from the write off) THIS HIS AD>>Great car,runs great, rebuilt 390 ci , auto , no rust, the old girl gets looks, and not bad mpg on the highway..We have too many cars now, and not enough driveway. Everything works the way it was, emergency brake, AM radio etc , all working., Not a $20,000 show room car, but a good old ford that works good, and fun to drive.. I have friends in Oshawa up there every other Sunday. I have no problem bringing up the Galaxie.
