Pontiac Parisienne - HELP

The older Parisiennes have the data plate on top of the firewall (look at the silver patch right above the "PR3" firewall marking in this picture of a left hand drive '64 Parisienne). It might be in the same place for right hand drive car of the same vintage.

Hello Gentlemen

Can you please offer some direction of help.

I have in my workshop a Pontiac Parisienne convertable which has been butchered (Dismantled ) by a mad man and I have an opportunity to try and restore subject to information and help.

The over all car has aged well but has suffered decay mainly on front wings, boot reveals and boot edges, it would be a shame to let this car die

as we have very few right hand drive American / Canadian cars in the UK.

First can you help with id - so far the only  id plate I have found is on the left door lining it says :-

GM CANADA DD

47867088LL3

Thank you for your time and help

Paul

The number should decipher as
4 = year = 1964
78 = 8 cyl Parisienne
67 = body style = 2dr convertible
088LL3 is usually just a consecutive number, are you sure you read it correctly or perhaps the export cars were different.

Anyways should be worth saving.

GM Vintage Vehicle Services, discussed elsewhere in CP, can break out all the options, manufacture date, ship date etc for a small fee.

Gentlemen

First I must apologise for my late response to your comments.

I have searched the fire wall for a plate as requested by one member to check for further id  and i have not found one.

I have attached a few pictures showing my jigsaw puzzle, you well get the picture that the whole front end has been dismantled. From what I have been able to establish all main parts are there, although some have  been extensively abused by tin worm.

I will post more in due course when I can push the car outside

Thank you for your time

Paul
