These appear like the shallow dish 14" but it doesn't specify size. If 14" and the fins are silver they were used on the Firebird from 1972-75 / GP 1972 only / LeMans 1973-1975 and Ventura II 1975-76 (part number 497542). If they are black fins they were used on the Ventura II 1977 / Phoenix 1977-79 / Lemans 1978-79 and GP 1978-79 (part number 526803). If 15" silver fin 1977 GP & Lemans and fullsize 77-79 (part number 526802) and black fin 15" 72-75 Firebird, 73-76 GP & Lemans and fullsize 72-76 (part number 486554). Optional caps on most models.

Pascal,

These came standard on the Grand Am from '73-'75. I've seen very few of these hubcap's on Grand Am's as most had the rally II's or the honeycomb's.

Not to bad of a wheel cap, they would look good on a gentleman's car ...

Whenever I see those wheel covers, I think of this 2003 feature car in HPP.

If you look at it without the dust, it probably has a brushed finish on the chrome, similar to the 1973-79 Rally II trim rings. I bet that the arrowhead inserts I have for Rally II center caps would fit this wheel cover as well.

They started out on the Buick Riviera for 1972 after being tweaked from a 1971 design. Pontiac adopted then early on. I remember them on the 1973 Grand Prix & Grand Am. There was a new 1974 Parisienne Brougham that belonged to our school librarian that wore a set of those (it replaced a '69 Parisienne sport sedan). The 14" size started on the 1975 model Venturas; by 1975 all Firebirds had upgraded to 15" wheels (unlike the Camaro).

It's funny but the earlier version of those finned wheelcovers started out on the 1966 Riviera, lost the spinners for '67, then was adopted by Chevrolet for use on the Corvettes with a crossed-flag medalion for 1968. Finally for 1969 the Big Chevrolets got them, then the Monte Carlo for '70. By 1970 the 14" version was in production and Camaros, Novas and Chevelles got them through 1972.
