RE: 67 Laurentian, Summerland, BC

The problem I have is I'm already one vehicle over the limit I can have on my property right now, with one more sitting in Washington State waiting for attention. So this one would need to be stored until I can get to it. I made an offer on this car already based on having to pay for storage, but they're hoping for more for it.

Were you able to get any pics of the frame and floors when you looked at it?

The flash wasn't co-operating on the camera while I was there, but because the car had been sitting on concrete for 20 years, I'm thinking they're pretty good. There's no rust staining on the drivers footwell carpet. I can go back and get some photos if you need them.

John, thanks for the offer to get more pics, but no, I don't want to put you to the trouble plus... it might be dangerous for me!  biggrin

This car has piqued my curiosity and appealed to my sense of wanting to save every poor neglected old car that I see out there.  However, as tempting as it is, it would be best for me to resist my urges to buy another car at this time.  If it were closer to me (i.e. low purchase price without the burden of a couple grand in shipping costs) I'm afraid it would be very difficult to resist putting it in my driveway.

Good thing it's on the other side of the country! wink

If this was in Ontario I'd pick it up to tool around in and tinker with.

Thanks... for some reason I seem to think about this car from time to time.   I guess it reminds me of all the Pontiacs I rode in as a kid, when my dad sold them.

I have these images stuck in my mind of the first time I saw those downturned taillights:

Or those typical Pontiac wheel covers of the sixties:

Or the Pontiac arrow emblem, or that little indian head high beam indicator,

Or the new car smell back in the day which was so different in my mind than the new car smell of today's cars.  Was way better back then...

Hope somebody gets this soon... biggrin
