I just heard about a 66 Beaumont for sale - not mine - I gave the guy the website address to post it ---Its a 1966 Beaumont 2-door hardtop, has Sport Deluxe trim (no vintage documents - could be) Its Maroon with black interior, rally wheels and a small block automatic, he said $24,000 hopefully he'll tune in --I have telephone contact info if someone is interested

The cowl tag would help decode the SD part, right?

I believe the only way is with docs in 66, the tag will show it is a custom, but if it shows the a51 for buckets,  then you have an sd...

No 66 Beaumont Customs with buckets, right? So if the cowl tag has A51 then it's an SD. I always struggle with remembering how this goes!

interesting  - so no A51 on the cowl tag but it has bucket seats - so they were likely added ? or ? he really needs to send for the GM docs - can't understand why anyone wouldn't

Well,

Perhaps the cost GM wants for it keeps some people from doing it. I know that is why I haven't yet. There is no way it costs that much to provide that information!

 Oh, but its very good information - amazingly available - guys have a $5,000 - $50,000 car or more and they won't invest $90 ? I understand you have a right to your opinion - thats just my opinion - its near priceless helping document to true value/history/options of ones collector car - lotsa people used to send for it when it was free just for fun so I guess they had to add some fee to - originally at $40 now a little more at $90 but everything has gone up even the cars
