 A few reasons I think... they will never be reproduced... they will always fit the steel wheels regardless of the diameter of the wheel... dog dish is a cool look... in '66 it was the coolest looking wheel that was available for the '66 from the showroom.  I would give the left nut belonging to anyone on this site for that NOS cap.  (I wouldn't give my own though LOL.)

I can see myself someday getting 17" steelies and puting those on.  I believe the wheels on the wagon below are 17"...

For sale is a set of 4 very nice beaumont poverty caps( dog dish)1 cap is NOS,the other 3 are very nice,1 has a small ding-easy fix and there is no curb rash a tall.$150 plus shipping for all 4.

I used to hate them, but suddenly I want a set too... Were these available / standard on a '68 SD? Would it be ridiculous to run them on one? That turquoise wagon is definitely running 15's. Still looks great.

Marty has them on his 66 along with trim rings. A great look! (My guess is that they were only available on base model cars, but only a guess...)
