GM NOS Rear Defroster/Defogger Kit Part #992079

Does anyone have a GM Parts book that shows what this kit will fit. The switch is identical to my 68 Beaumont as well as many other parts in kit.

The grill, fan/motor assembly is the same as many GM vehicles from the early to mid 70`s.

I have tried the internet but cannot find any info.

                                                                                                         Thanks.

I had this identical defogger in a '68 Parisienne that I parted out, so did Carl Stevenson: http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t39602169/68-pontiac-rear-defogger-for-sale/ .

Nice kit (GM Canada)!

I know on Chevs the rounded edge on the grille means it's for full size cars and mounts on the left side instead of the center. Except for the switch & harness, which I think is pure Pontiac, it was probably used thru most of the GM line. Sometimes they shipped with both style grilles & seals. The metal fan housing dates it mid to late sixties to early seventies. Much more desirable than the later ones which were plastic.

Nice kit and if it's for sale you'll have no trouble moving it.

Exactly. There is a factory hole location for this purpose in the sheet metal under the package shelf.

You're just lucky I was away at the lake all weekend Johnnee or I might have said something bad to/about you for abusing me.

Now, back on the rails, that IS certainly a cool kit. Nice find.
