Well, I guess takin a motor out with JD helping is OK, But re-installing , well, he doesn't do so well...
Went out to get the trans bolted up and got that done. Tightened all the bolts, tightened the trans mount, on to the flywheel.....
Dammit!!!! I didn't change the converter, still has the powerglide converter in it, now I have to start all over again, as the bolts on the flywheel don't line up with the holes on the converter...LOL
Maybe I'll give Jack another shot at fixin this tonight.......

Why are you swapping torque convertors. Shouldn't you be swapping flexplates / flywheels. I'm not a tranny expert but I'm thinking either the convertors aren't compatible or you didn't get it in all the way. Either way if it's tight you may already damaged the transmission pump. Hopefully not for your sake.

The flywheel/converter out of the powerglide is 13" and the turbo 400 is 14" the bolts on the T400 flywheel don't line up with the powerglide converter... Only other solution is to find a different starter that will work with the PG converter/flywheel.

There are some flexplates out there that are drilled for different transmissions. Six holes - three holes at one diameter and three at another. Or drill yours. Just remember measure twice and drill once.
