Where did you get the car from?  I had one that looked just like that in the 80"s -early 90's - haven't seen it since

Thanks guys! The car is from Victoria(Sidney) BC. It was butternut yellow when I got it, but gm says it was bolero red originally. But I always wanted a black 67, so I painted it tuxedo. It's still a work in progress. Gets better all the time. I grew up with beaumonts. Love these cars.

Very nice!!!   Welcome. What are you running for power? I love your choice of wheels. I saw  a Chevelle yesterday with new style 20's on and in my opinion ruined it's look. More pictures please.

Love your car.  I've seen one just like it only minutes ago. Give us moe pics and more info. What motor, transmission, rear end, horse power. Do you have spare parts for sale or know some one that does.

Thanks for the comments! I got the car several years ago, paid $1500 for it. it was a 738xxx car & I knew the previous 2 owners. For rust reasons It had the 'cabin' portion of the body replaced with a much cleaner shell, and the original 396 was long gone, so it's not a purist car by any means. I drove the car for years in high build primer(looked like faded butternut yellow!) then one day got the urge to try painting so block sanded for 3 months straight, then sprayed it single stage black, in a 12ft garage, with a 20gallon compressor! Its always been a real low-buck project.

Motor is a 468, merlin heads, lunati 232/239 hyd. Trans is a CK full billet th2004r, 10" lockup. Rear is the original(narrow) 67 12 bolt, new eaton carrier 3:73, Toms axles.

Wheels are cragar direct drill, custom offset, 15x8 4.5" backspace in rear, 15x6 in front. 275/60 & 215/70

Removed the original disc brakes & installed a single piston setup. suspension mostly stock, no hop bars in rear.

This car ran 11.90's @114 on the coast when I lived in BC. It's mainly a cruiser these days.

On my list are some tubular front control arms, a 496 based engine, or perhaps some cnc heads on the 468, but most of all just to keep tinkering, cleaning it up & trying to design a real good street machine.

You got the urge to try painting and you chose black. You are a brave man. I'd have to say you are a natural. Some so called professionals can't paint black like that. Awesome job. And under hood too.

Haha its really not as pristine as the pictures look. And I didn't mention the orange peel, runs, color sanding and partial repaint either! Its getting glossier over the years and really responds well to the 'deatailer' spray products. I really need to get some Beaumont decals for the air cleaner too.
