a few more pics, the story is that this one was his grandparents car and although he has vague memories of riding in it he can recall it being parked in front of an old schoolhouse on their property for as long as he can remember.Him and his dad hauled it to their farm when they sold the grandparents farm in bragg creek near Calgary.

Yeah, me neither.  Can't be many of those around.  Looks like all the trim is there too.

I think the gas door is missing and one letter on the tailgate. It would need a backwindow as this one was broken by his uncle. It may find its way to my house as well, maybe a good nostalgia push vehicle if I ever get my slingshot dragster done.I think its just plain cool personally.

So if a guy was to pick this one up first off where or can a new rear window be found. How is the availability of body parts.I know for sure it would need a ds rear lower quarter.Maybe even floors, its been sitting in the grass for a few years.I think a nice 400 or 455 would make it into a neat hot rod.Anyone know the production numbers for the wagons?

the window is the easiest thing. Plenty of places out there making custom glass. Send them a template and they'll pop one out quick enough for all but the weirdest curves and bubbles. Rear wagon glass is a walk in the park. Only trouble you'll run into is it'll be modern glass and not period correct.

thanks for the info.I did a quick search today and found a place on ebay that sell all the replacement glass for the 59's except of course the rear window glass for the wagon.I also checked a couple wrecking yards I know of and one had no less than 4 two door, four convertibles and one station wagon.Guess what is the only broken window on the wagon?the back off course, dohhh!!!!

I imagine the glass would be the same as a Chevy wouldn't it? If so, I suspect I know a yard that would have a window and I hope to be there in a month or so.

Hi Willard, the yard is called kustomking, look under www.kustomking.net they are in spruce grove alberta(just outside edmonton.I'm not sure if they do parts or just whole cars but they sure have a ton of old stuff.Carl if you could LMK onthe window and how much one would be i would appreciate it.I probably won't pick it up until december/jan as i still have a couple payments to make of the 49.Then negotiate a deal for the wagonbut i think i could get it for a thousand.I may need a bigger garage it's huge.

It was in Oliver BC, but I'll have to see if he still has it, as he was downsizing to make the Regional District happy.

This car is still available, along with a 59 Parisienne 4 door sedan. Both were V8 cars, the wagon is rolling with no eng. or trans. The sedan has a cast iron powerglide. The wagon still has the unique to 59 power steering setup. They are filled with parts as well.

I have an extra rear glass out of my 60, and I think I have the trim that goes around it.

Had a chance to have a second look at the wagon and snap a pic of the vin plate.Anybody up for deciphering this one.Its going to need floors for sure big holes in the foot areas and rear quarter work.I was thinking of offering about 1000 for it,fair price, too high, too low, lmk?Anyways a few more pics,so tempting.
