Talked to a fellow at the Stouffville cruise at the Legion last night, had a "Fur Sail" sign in nice early 50's Chevy P/up street rod. said all he's had are "LOOKERS" Didn't ask what he was asking, but a real nice truck!!! AS Carl said, "Tough" market here, maybe you'll have some luck out there!! Pete

 Funny, I keep hearing that " tough market" line. Meh, true, but those of us that have nice stuff and ride it out just have to consider that the person looking for the extreme deal just might have the tougher time trying to obtain a really nice car. Meanwhile back at the garage we can take the car out for a drive at any time while buddy spends all summer and countless $$ and time looking for the deal instead of enjoying the ride. no

By chance anyone actually been out to look at the truck to give us an idea how nice!
What it might need mechanically, paint, interior condition etc
Certainly appears very nice.
Long way to go for a look see!!

the truck as it sat yesterday

Straight tail gate and original wood remains in the box!

Driver's fender appears to retain its original paint

Rock chips behind driver's front wheel

Driver's door appears to retain its original paint

Rock chips on cab corner and front of box

Slight pitting along base of box on driver's side

Rear corner of box - also appears to be original paint

Tailgate appears to be original paint

Tailgate looking from the passenger side


Rear passenger corner of box - sorry, I think its just dirty... should have cleaned it

Surface scale and rock chips on passenger side of box

Passenger fender, door and around rear of cab have been repainted.  This is the only flaking I've noticed

I think the repair was done quite some time ago as evidenced by the few dents

Passenger door - repainted, but a very nice match

Passenger fender - repainted, but looks great

Passenger cab corner - a few little bubbles in the paint, but definitely not soft!

Inside of passenger door - no repairs were made, so I'm confident that the repairs were not rust related

Passenger door bottom corner - mint!

A little patina on the cowl

California emissions on the windshield

Under the hood

All original smog is still in place.  Note, heater core has been by-passed and needs replacement.

Driver's side door sill is untouched and mint

Driver's door bottom corner is mint as well!

Interior is in great condition.  Visors are mint, mirror shows some patina
