I asked him, why he ordered the car with only the L79 engine and a radio as options. He told me that he had 2 small children at the time, and couldnt afford the $250. for the 4 speed. The car was built on shift 2 on Jan 28 in Oshawa, and sold Mar 15 of 1966 at Chuck Carricks Ltd. In Tilbury Ontario.
I still am looking for 2 resonators for the exhaust to complete the restoration."

Oh, dear!

Its a 2dr SEDAN!!!!!

Coupe and Hardtop are the same thing

Post and sedan are the same thing

"post" is just a slang term used by car guys,  GM never refered to sedans as posts

Sedans come in 2dr and 4dr varieties

Station wagons have long roofs

Convertibles have no roofs

thats as clear as i can make it

Ok,

Beautiful car..that goes without saying. But how is this a sedan? 2 door post, ok...a coupe even..but as it only has 2 doors..not a sedan as I understand it...colour me confused.. Can anyone explain?

Sorry,

I've always understood a sedan has 4 doors, a post is a coupe but has a frame for the door windows where a coupe does not. Sooo.. again.. still not understanding how this is a sedan.

Hey Chris,
It looks a whole lot better with those wheels and tires on it, than those bias ply white walls did.
Cheers,
Roger

Wow Chris, I hadn't realized that this car had changed hands. What a great addition for you, you must have a tough choice when heading out for a drive.

Thanks Jerel; I find myself flipping a coin once in a while and Rodger the bias belt white walls wouldn't last long with the torque of the l/79.Overall I get complimented all the time even though I don't drive it too much.Louis what you see in front of back wheels are traction bars.
