400 smallblock and turbo 400: $650.00: Drive it away!! SOLD SOLD !!!!

In my search for a 400 smallblock for my Parisienne I ended up with two!! I bought two old GM C class motorhomes, both powered with 400 4 bbl engines and Turbo 400's. The one I'm selling is a 1979 and it runs fine.  I'm keeping a few items off the motorhome and after that anyone who wants it can have it for $650.00!! I'm offering it to C.P. members before I list it on KIJIJI for more $$. If anyone here buys it I will contribute $50.00 to C.P. Located in Sherwood Park, just east of Edmonton. If interested pm your phone # and I'll give you a call.

Thanks

Randy

It is a Chevy van on the front, cutaway van is how they are classified. It has single axle, dual wheels on the back. Motorhome part is mostly junk but the van part is nice and it runs and drives great. The awning is gone and I have been selling of some interior parts. I am switching the wheels and tires but it will be still drivable.

Thanks

Randy

Rats, I bet if I had held out on that 1981 sales brochure I could have traded it for the "400" twins!!!

It's a motorhome...not sure how bad the interior is but fly out, or go by train...take a sleeping bag and drive her home. Park in Walmarts on the way back...road trip! If i had the space and time i'd make the trip!

Sweet deal and the 400 is one great Chevy small block. The best of both worlds, low weight and big cubes. The drag racers love that motor for obvious reasons. I have the original 400 in my 1974 Caprice Estate wagon. I hope the motor goes to a good home and good luck with the sale. Cheers. George.

Bill I still have it and my yard is packed in snow. I still have to swap the wheels/tires on it so no rush.

I'm waiting on a strong young friend from out of town to come by and help me, possibly next weekend.

PM me your phone # if you want to talk about it.

Thanks

Randy

Another good use for those units is to cut off the motor home section, enclose the back of the van area and add a beaver tail - makes a great car hauler with the less expensive insurance being registered as a motor home.  Those usually have Dana 60s or Dana 70s in them.

Bill I didn't get the tires changed, old age has not been kind!! I'm still hoping some strong, high energy youngster will fall out of the sky and change them for me. It's not buried in snow yet and started up a couple of days ago, still runs nice.

Thanks

Randy

Randy
there no such thing as a high energy youngster, none of them want to help out, most don't wanna work any harder than pushing buttons on the game system
and if they do its not fun, just before Christmas I asked my son
to help move three 11 and 12 guage steel sheets from the back of the truck ,into the garage, 8x4 sheets wobbily as hell, , but what a chore talk about total disaster
at one point he dropped his end on a single sheet ,then attempted to stand on it as he was getting up, ended up back on his ass so fast he did not know what happened
DOH

I thought you wanted the tires for you wifes unit, no rush on my part take your time, so far this season red deer has 110cm ( more snow than we normally see the whole winter) and still more on the way.

talk to you later
