Awesome! My Firebird was also sold at Forbes. You should put the redlines back on it with the wire wheel covers.

Nice car! Gotta love a '67 SD, and yours looks solid and numbers matching.

Power drum brakes, but h.d. drums brakes. Instead of bonded asbestos shoes it has welded patches of iron that initially don't grip like you would expect, but once they heat up they do grip, and don't fade like typical drums (they wear like ganite as well). They also came with h.d. heat treated return springs for the shoes.

It looks like the base 325-horse 396 combined with a TH400, which means highway-friendly 2.73 gears out back.

I agree, redlines with wire wheel covers with Marina Blue paint would have looked quite nice.

No blue overspray on the tag neither (you can see a bit of blue poking through at the top of the tag) ... very clean (besides the dirt) tag.

Good stuff, cause that looks scary! Of course you know the first thing people will think when they see those rivets. I kind of figured from the way you talk about the car that you know it's proper, but everyone assumes the worst when they see that.

Such a nice find, that car... What's not to like about a 67 SD396!

I'd say yes to them being 66 rockers.  Probably a lot of interest in those if you wanted to sell them.
