Thanks for the information, yes that is half the trouble replicating the splattery torch cut hole that horrified early restorers. Most couldn't believe the factory would do it that way!!

66 black big block is gone but I do have a black 65 SD 327 300hp still.
When this one is done we will start on the 65 SD convertible Red car then the 65 SD convertible yellow car so black car will be awhile
once again thanx Carl, just fitting gas / brake lines and E cables then body ready to go back on . Exhaust system is a few weeks away from showing up so we will move on with out it for now.
Got started on cleaning up the doors, hood, trunk lid, rad support and inner fenders. Knowing how long it takes for croming I dropped the rear bumper off figuring it could be a few months but he phone the next week and said it was ready. I`m looking at putting all new glass in. Love the look of the dark green tinted glass but against the lite blue paint not so much. They make a smoked colour glass that would look real good if its not to dark or I could go with clear. I would like to hear from others on what choice they would use? The dark green and smoked glass can be found on Ebay
