For a grand it might be a fun car to drive to work in from time to time. Or maybe not.

1965 Vauxhall Viva Deluxe

$1,000.00

For sale is my 65 Vauxhall Viva. 1057 cc 4 cyl, 4 spd. Good overall condition for a 50 year old unrestored original british car. Runs good. I have many extra spare parts, ie windshield, rad, grill, 2 complete new engine gasket kits, haynes manual, original owners manual, light bezels, transmission, carb, heater blower, dash controls, fuel pump, distributor, wiring harness, rad hoses, a case of new cannister oil filters, hubcaps, brake shoes, a new oem clutch plate, etc etc. that go with the car. New oem parts for this model are plentiful and cheap on ebay uk. It could use a front wheel cyl resleeved. Glass is all good, could use a new trunk lid seal. Ive never driven it in winter or rain. Very few of these survived, and this is one of the better ones. Ive had it for quite a few years but havent driven it in the last 3. Has fresh fuel and always kept stabilyzer in the tank. BC registered. A very small spot of rust at rear wheelwells, but very good elsewhere. Unibody. A really good project car that needs little. First $1000. 250 765 3225
Year:
1965

A buddy had a white back high school. I remember him doing a smoke show in front of the school after a dance.

He revved the engine while the passenger leaned and set off a fire extinguisher under the car. Fooled almost everyone. In reality the clutch slipped to much to even get a chirp out if the tires...

That "Over the pond" car might make a gasser........... of some sort. You know, dare to be different kind of gasser. Other than that i would have no use for it.

My buddy had one back in the day it was a great little car. Cheap on gas so more money for beer and once the girls knew you had beer the did't care how ugly it was. Plus they had to sit close to you as they had no other choice .

If the "Princess of Darkness" Lucas electrical system fails during flight, then what? I hope you have a good solid parachute handy.......... just in case. Cheers. George.

I do remember more than a few of those around back in the 60s. In the U.K. they were also offered as a sedan delivery. The next generation was better looking and offered a 2-door wagon. A restyle for 1971 turned the car into a Firenza, probably the reason why in the late 70s the Oldsmobile version of the Monza was never sold here (Canadians wanted to forget the Firenza name altogether).

If you wanted to own one, that car for sale would be a complete package. The seller has it right, few have survived.

Have fun with your Whitworth tools & positive ground electrical system.
