Wanted: 1957 Pontiac Laurentian steering wheel centre emblem

Hi there Poncho lovers, I am looking for a reasonable condition steering wheel centre emblem for a Canadian built 1957 Pontiac Laurentian. My '57 Pontiac Star Chief had a small diameter hot rod type steering wheel on it when I bought, but I have purchased an aftermarket 15" diameter '57 Chev wheel to fit.

My research has found that the '57 Canadian assembled Pontiac Laurentian (as per picture below) had the same steering wheel as a US '57 Chev, but with a different centre. I would dearly love to obtain one of these centre emblems, to maintain the Pontiac look inside the car.

If you can help, or advise where I might be able to pick one up, I would be eternally greatful.

Hello Russell, i am always glad to hear from fellow 1957 Pontiac lovers. There is a GM restoration parts outfit here on Ontario, Canada that i know has the horn emblem for your 57 Pontiac. The company is called ANTIQUE CHEVROLET PARTS, they have been selling new and used parts for over 30 years and are real professionals in their field. They are based in Dundas, Ontario, Canada and their number toll free is 866 767-2787. Web site is www.antiquechev.com and email is info@antiquechev.com. They are a very trustworthy company to deal with. Good luck getting the part mate. Russell here is a picture of my 1957 Pontiac. Cheers mate. George.

Thanks very much both George and 427carl for your suggestions. I have fired off an email to both asking for price and availability, so hopefully something will come out of those. George, that's a real tidy '57 you have there; it looks like it just came out of the factory!

Hi George, thanks for your compliments regarding the website, which I will take to heart personally. The reason being is that I designed and built it using one of the free platforms available. We previously had a website that was constructed using the older style of format that required a specialized person who understood the code to make any changes, but the new platforms allow anyone who is familiar with word to update using cut and paste.

We also had a sit down to think through what visitors would like to see when they viewed our site, and came up with a clear and concise arrangement that hopefully gives prospective members everything they need to know to make their decision.

I'm very pleased with it, some am just having a little boast.

Russell, what is the update? Did you get the Canadian specific 1957 Pontiac horn emblem and who did you get it from? Continued good luck mate with your fine 57 Pontiac's. Cheers. George.
