Metro trunk weatherstrip

Has anyone used a B body Metro trunk weatherstrip?

If so, how is it? I tried mine. It fits the channel very nicely, and it seems to work ok closing the trunk, but the profile sure is a lot different than the original.

I had a Soffseal piece years ago on my Acadian and it never let the trunk lid sit down properly. It was always pushing up hard on the lid when it was closed.

Pretty sure I have had both. I had soffseal In the gto and I had to adjust the trunk lid as it wouldn't close after install. When the lemans went together, pretty sure it was metro products I got through NOS. My body guy installed all of the rubbers etc but I remember him saying he preferred them over soffseal.

And I'm not surprised from the reviews I've read on the different forums. Everyone says Metro is the one to buy.

I'm not at all unhappy with it. It's more that I was expecting a profile like the original and it caught me off guard when I opened the package and compared them. It actually "locks" into the channel a lot better than the OEM part It has an extra wing on it that the original lacks. The original shrinks and is actually floppy in the channel because it is missing that wing.

I'm not a softseal fan at all

Metro is  far superior,  fits every time.
