Pontiac Beaumont Sport Deluxe. I have here for sale a very rare 1967 General Motors Beaumont Sport Deluxe. It is the Canadian cousin to the Chevelle Supper Sport.This an extremely rare car. In 1967 General motors only built 751 of these Sport Deluxe models.The Beaumonts are often thought to be a Pontiac since they were sold through Pontiac dealerships in Canada,but technically they are neither a Pontiac nor a Chevrolet. It's been repainted with the original Deepwater Blue Metallic color.This car is a nicely equipped car with original 396/325 H.P. motor and Turbo 400 trans with a posi rear and Coker redline tires. It also features blue bucket seat interior with optional headrests. This car is fully documented through General Motors of Canada. I have original warranty book with original owners name along with several other of the cars owners.I have original build sheet from seat along with original dealers emblem from trunk, and much more documentation. This is a very rae find. I can't imagine that too many of these cars have survived the brutal winters in Canada.Chances are most of us in the U.S. have never seen one of these cars in person. I sold it in 2001 when I bought a 1965 Corvette coupe -- I knew at the time I'd be sorry for selling it - just downsized / unloaded too many cars to buy back a mid year Corvette again --- I've owned quite a few cars this is the only one I truly can say I wish I didn't sell - I wish I still had - I will buy another to replace it someday
When I owned the car it had Canadian Pontiac rallys ith correct centers - he also added the stripe - it had the original hubcaps in the trunk
I like it !! The red lines are sharp !! it reminds me of my Red 67 SD396 Conv I wish I had not sold it either (in 1979 no one I knew, had any idea it was of 66)

My first car was a 67 Beaumont Custom 2-door hardtop (my Dad had a 66 Malibu SS i always loved the roofline) I bugged for a long time (years) to purchase a 67 SD396 in Port Colborne then landed this blue one - I later bought the Port Colborne one too (now Mark Bortelotto's) -------I was so thrilled with this blue one - just couldn't get it outta my head that I needed to restore it - I drove it every year - it always looked great - I gather N.O.S. parts etc.. when I got married I sold my 66 Corvette and a few years later I desired another - so I sold off a couple cars and a couple projects to buy another mid year Corvette.
I remember getting GM Vintage documents for the SD seeing 1 of 451 ! then for the silver car 1 of 259 350hp !

yes Bill original quarter panels - one quarter had a long patch at the bottom rear - the other quarter had a short patch (can't remember which was which) trunk pan original, no floor or floor support repairs, left front fender was previously damaged. numbers matching everywhere from the carb to the pan ---I think it was Mark's (the one I sold John Landuyt) car that had the St Catharines code 396 engine
That is one beautiful car and to me it looks perfect with Pontiac Rally II's and redlines. I must say I have never heard of one referred to as a "General Motors" Beaumont Sport Deluxe before.
funny the day I bought the car at Waterdown May 1994 a friend had a set of rally II's there for sale with redlines off his 69 GTO (thought about buying them for the tires)--- when I bought the car it had 15 x 7 chev rallys with blackwalls - I ran 14 x 6 Canadian Pontiac wheels on it with redlines (see my avatar)--- GM maybe should have considered using Rally II's seeing its a Canadian Pontiac but the cars always looked better to me with the right wheels because they would be correct - the Rally II's always stand out as incorrect to me -- but I gotta admit nothing much better looking than a five spoke wheel (ie: Cragars etc...) anyway its a preference thing.

this would only start yet another debate --- probably more car related than drugs or sex preference though
i always liked the chevy rallies on 67`s with flat caps!! but i must say i`am getting a little tired of seeing them on all car`s of the 60`s & 70`s,, so i picked up a set of thrust wheels!! but will always keep the rallies and "bull eyes" to change thing up!!

yes- that works great - I had a set on my blue one for a while too -- I have a chrome set of 15's here just need a 67 SD to put them on ! (thats not likely happening anytime soon)
Makes me think when i see the Thrusts on there that car would have been what Steve McQueen would have driven in a Canadian make of Bullitt. I like them on that car!
wow those were the cars that got me into this whole mess im in now lol the guys across the street had them all jacked up with super stock 50s in the 70s when i was 12......heehaw and im not done either must have been fun car
One thing that stands out to me concerning that Deepwater Blue Beaumont SD that is the subject of this thread, the interior has a mixture of light blue & bright blue components. There is often confusion as to which ones vendors are referring to when they are selling interior kits. That car has light blue interior but bright blue door panels & seats. Oops!
I agree with Ken regarding the "wrong" wheels on that car but I must confess that the Rally II look is growing on me. If it were my car I would find the correct 1967 acorn lug nuts with the red inserts. They would really "pop" with the redlines & center caps.
Strictly speaking, the 1967 Beaumont "Sport Deluxe" quarter emblems would have been left off if the car left the factory with the optional D96 stripes. The stripes would have had "SD" in them on the front fender section (as shown above on Mike Bortolotto's Butternut Yellow SD.)
All in all that Deepwater Blue car is beautiful.

not sure what is going on there - I'll have to look up the documentation - I thought the car was coded for Bright blue interior -- I don't think the interior has been done since I owned it (seat covers-door panels, but I do believe the carpet has been changed and the dash painted

'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
My 2 cents........................ simple is better and cleaner, why paint stripes on a car because you have white paint hanging around, some guys just can't
leave a car alone.......... the stripes are a distraction and take away from the lines of a beautiful car as is, I see classic cars as art, art is diminished by distraction, your eye is drawn to minor part of the subject.
