This one is NOT.......

a Pontiac OR Canadian, but thought it might interest some of us here.

Spotted it around noon in the Tom Hortons lot in Queensburger.

According to the fellow driving it,it's his bro's daily driver.

Appears to be factory paint still and notice the LACK of feO2?

This car is NOT rusty....looks like it came out of Washington State.

Oddometer reads 68K....notice the PRNDL.....must be a TurboGlide..so it should be a V8...also noted Power Brakes and tinted glass...not your typical stripped down Belair 4 door.

I'd be proud to have this for MY D/D.but wheels/tires need HELP......the wheels appear to early 50's... 15" with the riveted on hubcap clips...

A set of 14's with whitewalls an stock hubcaps is what it wants/needs...

......the grill and trunk emblem say 283.  Probably the powerglide died and he installed a 350 turbo and put the gear indicator on from a truck (?) .   If it had a original turboglide it would of had Gr instead of L  on the indicator and a 348 under the hood.  I see some paint lines and color difference on rear quarters so it had some touch up done once upon a time but yeah, it looks pretty well like a original car still cruising.

Yeah,I did my homework on the PRNDL and realized that is NOT an original (car) one.....

My knowledege of 59's is better than 60's.... They kinda lamed it up a bit in in 1960....but engine designation on the trunklid?

Nice old car nonetheless......AND ....how many original paint 1960 Belairs do you think were out on the road in January....in Canada?

,,,, here are pics of the hood and trunk emblems for the 1960 348 cars, they had the cross flags , whereas the 283 had the emblems as shown in the pics above. And naturally the V told us that a V8 was under the hood .

I'd really like something like that for a summer daily driver.
