I purchased a set of clear Impala front turn signal lenses, thinking they were the correct ones. They were not, looking further into it...it looks like 1967 Firebird lenses are the same...can anyone confirm this?
I would say the Firebird ones would not be correct. What you should be looking for would be from a 1967 Bonneville, Catalina or Executive, and possibly in amber or clear. I suspect they'd be available on ebay in either NOS or used condition.
For my 1970 which are a much larger lens, used ones can sometimes be found for $20-30, and NOS for $50-100. Again for 1970, I'd never seen an amber lens on Canadian built cars, but they were available on the US built cars.
They're incorrectly listed as for a Grand Prix. They fit all 1967 B body cars except Grand Prix's and Grande Parisienne's. The Grand Prix's and Grande Parisienne's had the hide-away headlights with the cats eye signal lenses.
$110 Canadian plus shipping for the EBay ones, ridiculous! Guess I'll keep watching...but those do look exactly like the ones from a 67 Firebird.
It's a little high, but you should expect to pay near that for an NOS pair. Do you need a pair, or only one? If you need a pair, either keep looking or in the words of Stanley Roper, "Sometimes a man's gotta do what a mans gotta do." Poke around on ebay to see if you can get some part #'s for the Firebird ones. I highly doubt they're the same as the big cars.

I see Tin Man doesn't have any, and the ebay listing ended. However, at least the part #'s have been found. I'd seriously try Kurt Kelsey for NOS, or East West & Frank's Pontiac for used. There's another place for NOS called Billions and Trillions, but I've found their prices extremely high.

I'm sorry if I sound stupid but anything scarce will be expensive
If you bought a new set for 100.00 they would last what? another 40 years...

I bought the set off e-bay I love NOS stuff
GOOD SCORE CARL! I think at $49. ea for brand new G.M. n.o.s. lenses, you did mighty fine. How many of these do you see kickin' around............none! Its like the Olympics of car parts and you just got the gold Carl. Comin' home to Canada, Cheers.
If they were available new from a GM dealer for $49 each, (which is likely what they would cost), we'd just go buy them.
I never used to think of stuff that way but my friend once straightened me out when I complained how much someone wanted for an NOS part. He said "IF it was still available and IF it cost that much from the dealer, you'd buy it, wouldn't you?" And he was right, I would have.

I see I had put the wrong part #'s above.
Should be: L = Drivers side = 5959377 R = Passenger side = 5959378.
PM sent to Shawn with a couple more ebay listings.
