Growing up in Ancaster I remember the Ancaster Police had one 1971 Pontiac Laurentian black & white. Just a 350 car, that car was destroyed in a collision during an ice storm in March 1972, taking the life of one young officer. The other officer survived (he was a really nice guy). They didn't replace the cruiser until 1973 when Wentworth County bought a pair of new blue & white 1973 AMC Ambassadors. They had 401 power and all the LAPD Matador equipment. They were cool but were only in town 6 months before Wentworth County became Hamilton-Wentworth Region and we got new Dodge Monaco cruisers. Hamilton grabbed the Ambassadors and I saw one for sale on the lot at Bay-King Dodge-Chrysler in 1978.

The pic is kinda small, but this looks like a '71 Pontiac from the National Police Week display back in the day.

Action Auto Wholesale is proud to offer this 1971 Catalina Police Enforcer. This is a " REAL DEAL" police package vehicle, and NOT a clone. This vehicle has a very interesting history. Originally purchased by the Borough of Chambersburg PA, as a supervisors vehicle. These vehicles were used for a few years and then replaced with new models. Jay Clark used to work in the cities service garage, and maintained the cities fleet of vehicles. When this particular vehicle came up for auction, Jay knew the car and had to buy it. After the purchase he had the vinyl top installed, and presented the vehicle to his Mother-In-Law. She couldn't stand the car, so he took it back and put it in his barn with his other Pontiacs. It stayed there tucked away until his passing a few years ago, and we bought it from his estate. It comes with the original protecto-plate and dealer installed trunk plaque. It is numbers matching and is equipped with a 455 4bbl, certified dash, power steering and brakes, heavy duty suspension. It also has the original cage, ticket console, the radio speaker and all wiring for it under the dash. The interior is all original and in excellent condition. There are no seat rips or dash cracks, it has slight wear of the carpet and minimal discoloring of the door panels. The body is super solid and The paint is 90% original with very minor surface rust. The undercarriage is very solid with only slight surface rust. There are no holes or patches in the floors, frame or trunk. This Catalina does need an exhaust manifold replaced as it is cracked, and an exhaust system.  It runs drives, shifts, and stops. It will need some restoration. Again the is a 33,000 original Pontiac Police car, when is the last time you saw one? Please do not ask what the reserve is because it will not be disclosed. This is an auction and we want everyone to have a fair chance to bid. Thank You. If you have 0 feedback, please contact us before bidding, or your bid will be retracted.

Got to be sort of the (holy grail) dare I say of a Pontiac, even though its not Canadian built.

You just don't see them, so surprised. Think it would be long time before we see one again.
