motor mounts

Hi All:  I have a 72 Luxury Lemans that came stock with a 350 chevy.  The motor is now toast.  I obtained a nice 6 cyliner motor from a 72 Camaro.  I have all the motor mounts from both the 350 and the 250.   To use the ones from the 250 (from the Camaro), I will have to remove the frame parts (perches?) and that is going to be a time consuming and frustrating job getting to the nuts inside the frame.   When done, I am not sure if the frame will fit with the mounts that came out of the Camaro.  Has anyone done this engine swap and if so, how did you handle the motor mount situation?

The LeMans came standard with the 250 six so this has to be a slam dunk swap.

I don't think the frame mounts will work unless they are from an A body (as in Chevelle) but I could be wrong.

Otherwise, yes, should be an easy enough swap although you will have to consider things like the exhaust being different, some linkages and brackets.

The transmission will bolt right up from either one.

Hi:  Finally got the chevy 350 frame mounts out and you are correct, the F body frame perches do not line up with any holes in the frame.  So, am now looking for a complete set of mounts and frame perches to fit my 72 Lemans.  Anybody out there have a set for sale?  To reiterate, what I need is the mount that bolts to the 6 cylinder inline, 250 cubic inch chevy motor AND the frame perch that bolts to the frame of my 72 Lemans.  Cheers.
