1955 Pontiac Laurentian 2 dr sedan for sale.

June 2008 feature car here on Canadian Pontiac.  $15,000  This is the first time I have put the car up for sale. I have 2 other 55 Pontiac project cars that I would like to finish and this would free up the cash to get going on them. Original car that is untouched except for a non correct carpet set. Should be a Daytona Weave carpet  but is the lower level replacement set from an aftermarket supplier. This car can be driven anywhere and can be inspected at my home on a hoist. For pictures please go to the June 2008 feature car section of Canadian Pontiac. 98,000 miles now and maybe if not sold will hit 100,000 by the end of the summer. I have not driven it yet this summer as the roads in Timmins are under construction and in terrible condition from the severe winter. 1-705-264 8781  or email sueal@personainternet.com  I will perform a complete servicing on the car and a mechanical fitness will be provided.   Thanks Todd for the use of your site.

hmm, I like that -- its a 235 ? or 283 ? appears to be 3-speed standard ? if the floor was cherry with the carpet out I assume the floor braces and all that usual stuff looks great too ?

Yes, the floor is very good and the braces are covered with Manitoba tar. The undercarriage was coated with loads of tar as if the car was driven on chip and tar roads most of its life. The tar is everywere bumper barckets , inner fenders. I changed the muffler last year and the one I removed still had an original GM part number on it. The car is not perfect and if anyone is really interested I will send pics of the small original dint with red oxide promer showing  and close up of the rock chips. It is a 261 with a 3 speed standard trans. It also still has the original ball bearing wheel bearings and the engine compartment has never been painted, only cleaned as I wanted to keep this car as original as possible. I had the rad changed but kept the original honeycomb rad. I had  a spare rad rebuilt. I also installed 5 new radial wide whitwall tires on the original rims which I left untouched and did not sandblast or paint them. Al

Al, that is a real sweet beautiful 55 you have there. Good luck with the sale and i hope she goes to a good home, where she is not molested in any way. Cheers. George.

Thanks Todd but please dod not feel sorry for me for selling. I really want to put together my other 2 55 Canadian Pontiacs. I have a 2 dr Laurentian since 1972 that is in excellent shape with absolutely no rust anywhere and I have had all the rechroming done and lots of nos parts and aftermarket kits to finsh it. I just jave to decide on a powertrain which I have an assortment off. Leaning towards a mild 350 with 700R4 and highway gears. The 2 door stationwagon needs a lot more but the main bodywork is complete. It is time to let someone else enjoy it and hopefully keep it original.

Al
