My Wifes project - 64 Parisienne Safari 327

Thanks. I'll have to get back to you on the measurement for when it's up on the hoist again got the control arms from Hubbards Impala parts. They are just the plain ones 209.00 for the pair. Photos did not show them being boxed or with bushings. They had both so we were quite pleased

Allison and Mike, excellent work and looking forward to further updates. Mike, who is the gent doing the work on your 64, i don't think his name was ever mentioned. Is the 72 Chev his car and is there a build thread planned for the 72 as well. Continued good luck with the work and cheers. George

I have only been a member for a few weeks, so I went from page one to the end of this post. I am very impressed! The colour, PERFECT! Are you a welder by trade? Body man? Or just damn talented? Thanks for taking the time to post all those pictures, and doing updates. I am learning lots from reading through this. Did I mention the color is PERFECT! and congrats on the wife...... it must really help having her enjoy the hobby and process.

Thanks. I am so pleased that my wife is into the hobby with me. It defiantly helps. I am not a welder or body man by trade. Mostly learning as I go with this one. That fender is my first attempt at but welding. Going to see if I can make it happen as nice on the rear quarter next. Thanks for taking the time to read my posts. I hope to have more soon

So Wayne and I decide we were going to take the rear bumper off today and look at the tail gate hinges... we got carried away and this happened...  For a first attempt for me I am pleased so far.

So I will have to get an update soon. Doesn't look like we have done much to the car but picking away at it and have been very busy finalizing interior order. SMS says a year for door panels so we want to get on that. And I have to prepare to start stripping and sending material to Arizona to be patterned. We are almost in the home street he of metal work now soon for body work and paint. It's getting a little exciting as we see new material samples for the interior.

Some progress once again... our son is in shop class this semester and decided to take on the task of blasting and (with some help ) get his moms new tire and rim package done for her

He took the rims and blasted them on his lunches. We painted the back and inside black and primed the face today to prepare for body colour paint

Nice find, and surprising condition from a car with no glass.

So finally got to get into some more tedious welding and beginning to buttoning up the metal work. Short of the left rear quarter we are on the home stretch of metal work then into body work.

Nice! Out of curiosity, where did you get the 14" white walls?

That means we are on the right track. We didn't want it obvious we bumped up the tire and rim size .The tires are 215/70R15 The tires and rims came off an 1986 Caprice. I am not sure about 14's but we just purchased some fire stones for our van that had whitewalls. We didn't put them out but they had them. Also bought some hancooks earlier this year that had some as well. Bought them through a local fellow we know small shop.

Great work, the wheel combination is perfect. I had to purchase some whitewalls this summer, 2 for the front of my 67 Toronado, and 2 for the back of the 64 CS. I got Hankook tires, they are really nice.
