Can anyone ID this Holly carb #  80555-1 & just below that 1040  Can't cross it up on Holly site & all start with a R  It's a replacement carb that previous owner put on the Avanti, almost 'brand new" but think it might be too big   Pete

hope this helps
it says 650 cfm.........they can load up an engine if not in good tune

The top number, 80555-1, is the Holley part number.

This is an aftermarket carb.

You can find more information about the 80555-1 carb if you do a search on the web.

The second number, 1543, is a date code which would be the 154th day of 1973 or possibly the 154th day of 1983 or 1993.

 

1040 =  104th day of 1990 or 2000 ??
