Wonder what my options are and how I can remove this tube in the lifter valley. The intake I am using contacts and tube and I would like to remove it. What is the proper way of doing so? Can I just take it out and run valve covers with breathers?
When I did my 327, the aluminum intake hit that breather. I was able to "massage" the breather enough to get the intake to clear it. Is your's pretty close to fitting, or way off?
In the interest of keeping the engine looking original, I didn't want to have later valve covers with a breather hole in there. I wanted to run the original solid 327 valve covers and it worked out fine.

Yes Carl I may try that so I can use the original covers. I have a edelbrock c3bx intake and will use my stock oil filler tube on the front of the engine. I will "massage" away lol now all I need is the air cleaner!
