239 replacement motor

hey all, well doing some more work on the 49 Pontiac.I decided to pull the head off the engine and have a look at the top end of the valves and pistons. Not too bad other than carboned up.A bit of cleanup and all looks good to go.I did a bit of clean up on the block as well and found the engine number.According to my gm history report the engine number should be w102167 but my engine is stamped w235648.I know these engines were quite often replaced under warrenty any ideas what the year of my block would be.Kind of surprising as the odometer only shows just over 51000 miles.Hopefully i'll have it back in the car and running soon.Only one glitch taking the head off, mine had what I assume is a block heater running down through one of the head bolt holes. And of course it broke pulling it out,so now have to drill it out and replace with a head boltNot a huge deal but just some more work before I can put the head back on.
