This Vintage 1957 MCI Bus was built in Winnipeg Canada. The City of Nelson B.C bought it in 1957 and used it as a city bus from 1957 to 1967. Then in 1967 Brewster Bus Lines bought it and sent it back to Winnipeg to add scenic roofline windows. Brewster then brought it to Banff and toured it from 1967 until 1977 throughout the Rockies from Banff to Jasper, to Sunshine ski hill, to Calgary Stampede, etc. Think of all the people who enjoyed this bus. In 1977 it was bought privately, later converted to an RV,and constantly maintained and upgraded until now. The combination stainless exterior and scenic windows is rare. The bus is full of light and great energy from these skyview windows. Not shown in this photo are the recent brand-new front seats .It has mahogany cabinetry and solid oak floors. It is in excellent all-round mechanical condition with a rebuilt, 4-cylinder (big fuel savings), 4-71 reliable Diesel engine with only 45,000 rebuilt km, 5-speed manual transmission, two new 8-D batteries, 85% tire rubber, and air-ride suspension. Fresh oil, lube ,filter ,antifreeze etc. was all done 200 km ago. This summer TOM'S RV business inspected, serviced, upgraded, and repaired all the bus's RV-type systems wherever necessary and certified the complete propane system of a 4 burner propane stove and oven and microwave, 35,000BTU furnace, water-heater, 3-way fridge and freezer. It also has a bathroom with toilet and shower, large water tank, and grey and black tanks , two roof air-conditioners ,all LED lighting, and a brand-new unused queen bed mattress.I invested thousands into it this year. Due to illness, price reduction, for quick sale. Email your phone # and I'll call you- Glenn
That's a cool motorhome... price is pretty reasonable. My dad bought a 68 GMC bus in the early 70s and converted it to a motorhome, it was pretty cool having the biggest camper on the block! poor old 327 had to pull that beast on road trips, and through the mountains... he never changed the oil in that engine, ever in almost 30 years!! probably the only thing holding it together!
that bus is super cool and a great price for sure i have thought about it for my cabin and its even located here on the island but of course i already have a skoolie!
