I often wonder what became of "my"  1 of 66  red 396SD 400 turbo

It surfaced in 2007 after 25 years with same owner...(I sold it in 1980)

New owner (Ajax On)  was on here,  and unfortunately had to sell it

It went to a high roller collector in the WEST.....hmmm

You would think someone "out west" would have seen it over the last 7 yrs unless the car hasnt seen the light of day in that time. A 67 Beaumont 396 SD Vert is a car that would get noticed big time at any show by a pile of members on here i would think.Maybe ended up in the hands of someone who is very private and loves looking at it in the garage...if you can imagine that. Hoefully it shows up someday 427 Carl.

427Carl, Last summer I met a guy who lives in my town (Vernon) He drives a Bolero red 67 Beau Custom (exact same colour scheme as mine). He told me that his brother owns a 67SD Vert, and that it's been tucked away in a barn for about 20 yrs.

When our paths cross again this coming summer... I will "poke and prod" him for a phone number. Never know... it might be your old car?

It is kind of amazing that two of the 66 cars produced were optioned pretty much identical. Could this be your old car,Carl? In any case it is super nice.

It will not be mine :(     Mine was sold to David Lewis in Ajax On.

He got it in 2007 for 25g and sold it unrestored (it needed restoring) for 24g  to a fellow out West...

I posted the GM report (above)..  the serial number is there..

I have the MTO On seller package showing my name on it in 1979 and 80

I paid $2950.00 for it with fresh paint and a new top on 1979  original motor still in it with 93,000 miles on it

I remember seeing a 67 convertible in Vernon when I was a teenager and just getting into cars...about 28 years ago? I believe the owner was a manager at a larger grocery store...

Hi everyone its been a while since I logged on. Just a few things about my (our) 67 SD 396 convertible, it did go to a very private collector and I have never heard about it since. Correction on what I paid for it, $17,000.00 not $25,000.00 and sold it for $24,000.00 also I am from Pickering and the car was from Ajax. I regret selling it every minute of the day but I migrated to Trinidad in the Caribbean.

The SD in the video belongs to a member here, BeaumontBill, unless he sold it. I have seen the car a couple times and will say it is a very nice car.

Hey Beaumont Bill...really like your car! What is the reaction that you get from people in the USA on these cars? Do they really like them...think they are kinda goofy being some Canadian creation? Always been very interested in hearing that info first hand from a USA Beaumont SD owner. Cheers!!

Is it a driver...... or a "I'm going to fix it someday" hoarders car?       Would be cool to "see"

Very nice car in the video. Am I correct in thinking you either got the s/d stripe or the sport deluxe emblems on the 1/4s but not both. From factory?
