value of a club or forum

By this thread I would like to thanks some who want to help me in my restoration project. 1954Ken and Hscowboy don't hesitate to get me some help with small parts I could need. It's warming to think that somewhere someone can help for nothing or mostly nothing ONLY to help.

Thanks guys and long life to this forum

Fitz.

Thanks for being part of it Fitz. It's been a pleasure to watch the restoration of your Pontiac.

That's what has amazed me about this place. I've been on the receiving end of that kind of help from MANY members here.

And I say too, thanks for your participation here.

This place is great. I have been on other forums and the ego made me leave. I too would like to thank everyone for their assistance so far whether it be parts or knowledge. Thanks

I am sure none of us are millionaires or making a fortune building our cars.As a matter of fact if you are like me you have more spent on your cars then you will ever get in return if you sold them.I must admit I fell into the old Pontiacs by pure accident, but I have enjoyed working and learning about these old Canadian cars along the way.To me it is fun chasing down those obscure parts, although sometimes frustrating. But ihave gained a great education from the folks onhere and can only hope to return the favour along the way.So whether its spare parts that can be put back to use, knowledge of how something works or where it can be found I know I can come here and find most things out.Its nice we have members from east to west as it opens up a lot more chance of finding things you may need.I also like seeing other members progress as I know the satisfaction it brings getting one of these old cars back on the road.So I will promise to help where I can, even if its just a hey the cars looking great, keep at it.Trust me I still have lots to learn and I will be starting to put the 49 back together soon.I'm sure I will have lots of questions as I go along.

Fitz, it has been a real joy watching your 53 come together. There is no denying that you are a man of many automotive talents and honestly i doubt there is a better 53 out there. Continued good luck with that sweet dream machine. Ditto to all the remarks about how important Todd's C.P. is to all of us and how the only thing better than getting help, is to give help. Cheers. George.
