It appears to be original, I am going to clean engine bay and maybe I can see better the details. Not having the aluminum finish coil be due to higher production. I thought I read somewhere that the 67 was one of the best selling years.
Does it have MADE IN CANADA on it?

I love seeing that old Delco Remy distributor cap Mr. Benda posted with the point access port and sliding cover. When was the last time anyone saw one of those? Pure factory stock stuff.
Thanks for confirming, It's amazing how well it runs and drives with these factory original parts, I suppose I should limit how much I drive to not wear it out.
My car has 42,000 miles. I just bought it last May. I fully intend to enjoy it. That might mean the miles will go on a lot faster than the first 50 years of it's life but I don't care. There's only so much enjoyment to be had looking at a car in a garage. It puts a lot more smiles on my face when I drive it than when I look at it!
And with a little bit of extra time spent searching for parts, a guy can usually find correct original parts rather than aftermarket junk.

Ah, the memories. Back when we actually manufactured things here. Boy, those were the days.
We still do, http://www.canadianmade.com/ just not as much.... and not really supported by Canadians, we'd rather buy foreign.
Sad part, not a Canadian owned company building cars except for Zenn....
Hmmm. Maybe not. The website seems to have disappeared. All I get is this:

Keeping the 67 original was not my initial intention, but the fact it is all there from the factory deems it worthy of staying that way. When people ask about it the car, usually at gas stations, I have to admit I get a satisfaction of telling them it is original. It does put a smile on my face and theirs.
Side note, due to mech. issues on my daily driver, we packed the 67,family and dog with all the presents and went back home for Christmas on 6 hr road trip in -17 C . Just like you would have done in 67, lol
