If this were close to me i'd be going to look at it. I have it saved on my puter somewhere. Common sense tells me to stay away from projects in pieces!
Yes I walked away from a 58 Poncho 2dr. sedan a few yrs. ago too!!!! totally apart & all over his garage, nothing bagged or tagged!!!!! Didn't take me too long to come to same thought, so I walked.

Is it just me ............. or is this a SUPER DEAL.
Depends on how you look at it I guess. It's beyond my cash supply, geography, ambition and talent. There's a real nice plain 4 door 58 Pathfinder here in Ontario that's turn key for $9000. If only it were a 2door!!
It would be a nice car with some prep & assembly. I notice that the wheels appear to be the smooth chrome deep-set wheel portion of the Appliance Wire Basket wheel. There would be a drop-in wire insert. They would look super on that car with wide whites.
It looks like a good project. It had been "restored" previously but the current owner decided to dig into it. Hopefully the chrome is decent. Chrome would be astronomical at today's rates.
I think it would be cool to have it masquerade as a 283 fuelie, but have a 1967 or 8 350-based block built as a 383. Old style PCV system. Actually if you wanted to run a draft tube you would have to run a 1962 327. Nah.
