Wow, rare sight indeed.

The earlier ones were a 12 bolt. By 72 maybe they had the 8.5" or the BOP style diff? Looks like the disc brakes are already gone, factory air car too...

Hmmm, all the goodies are gone already ie the 12 bolt ? big valves 400 ... Bumpers and trunklid don't look too bad.

RE: 72 grand prix in Winnipeg wrecking yard ( Bucks)- more pictures

was there on this past Tuesday

As the pictures show the differential is still in it

they have moved it out of the big puddle ( but after todays snow the whole yard is probably a big puddle)

I'm surprised it didn't have a 12 bolt, most 1970-72 Grand Prix and Monte Carlo did ???

I thought so too. It may have been changed at some point.

I've seen a couple with 10 bolts.. that appears to be a 8.2

I have seen way more 10 bolts in these GP's than 12 bolts

455 GPs would have more likely got them

Yes, the 12-bolt 3.07:1 Type-C rear would have come on it if it was a factory 455 with a/c. That car with the 400 & a/c would have come with a 3.23:1 (or possibly 3.08:1) 10-bolt 8.5" Corporate rear. They were such cool cars when new. It is sad to see it in the junkyard, but at least it can give its life so other can go on.
