Here's an car not far from me. 300 hp 350. $3500. Never seen snow.    Very tempted but I feel $3500 is too much  disbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief (it's the Scottish in me)

The frame and 350-300 are worth 2 grand alone.....

The only engine in 1969 that came standard with dual exhausts was the 427. RPO N10 dual exhaust was available on pretty much any V8 equipped Pontiac and according to GM Canada literature it added 15% to the output, in this case making the 350/300 actually 350/345.

This would make a nice second car to use once the nice weather comes.

AND JUST TO ADD TO THAT, THE ONLY 396 AVALIBLE IN THESE WAS THE L66. IT WAS A 2BBL RATED AT 265HP AND CAME STANDARD WITH SINGLE EXHAUST. THE LS1 427 WAS ALSO STANDARD WITH SINGLE EXHAUST AND RATED AT 335HP. DUALS WERE OPTIONAL WITH BOTH. THE L36 427 CAME STANDARD WITH DUALS AND WAS RATED AT 390HP. AN L48 300HP 350 WITH DUALS IS NO SLOUCH, EVEN IN THESE BIG HEAVY BEASTS! HAVING SAID THAT, NOTHING BEATS BIG BLOCK TORQUE!biggrin

The 2bbl 396 L66 did produce more torque than the L48 so we often see it in Wagons used for towing. It also used regular fuel so it would be a great choice for the family station wagon. No doubt the performance engines in 69 were the L48 and two 427's. Interesting enough if you chose the LS1 427 with N10 you'd get 385 HP which was just 5 shy of the L36 but the LS1 produced more torque, decisions, decisions.

I'd guess the dual exhaust was added sometime in the last 45 years, as the original exhaust is likely long gone in the Ontario humidity.  Also note the Ralley II wheels with mid-70's trim rings and center caps.

Option B90 adds chrome window frames like on a Parisienne. I was just thinking tonight that I had never seen them on a non-Parisienne 69.

That really distinguishes this car, that trim looks great.

I've already corresponded with the owner. Original paint. He didn't answer my questions as to the condition of the interior. That's a painted roof as well. I think the car is neat but after thinking about it what I want and what I need are two different things right now.

They've been to Disney World!

I'd wait for a 2 door for 4+ Gs.

It won't be a not winter driven 350-300 with air

Too bad.....   it would have been a nice car to see in the Poncho family      another derby car go in Moncton

I have to agree with Carl on this one.  Would be too bad to see it derbied or harvested for parts.  The more CPs on the road the better for our hobby.

$2500!

That 300 HP 350 would be a nice engine. Those 041 casting heads are getting scarce. Small combustion chamber (10.25:1 compression with flat top Pistons), 1.94" intake valves , and the rare bit: accessory bolt holes at the front of the head.
If it happened to have a 12 bolt rear, it'd be quite a buy.

Notice the '69 Laurentian has the shorter 2 bulb tail-lights?  The trunk section between the tail-lights is much wider to accommodate the shorter tail-lights.

All the good buys are back East! I wonder how the frame is?
