for the faithful......

Don't usually post here.....maybe everybody knows this one?

Spotted it in Tsawassen....on my way to the 'point this morning......

Nice to see one still being used as a daily driver.....Older fellow driving it....said his brother bought it new @ Conroys....

Verodo Green on green....6 cyl. with a glide....and Cal Van roof racks......

Didn't ask...but he assured me it wasn't for sale.......

My dad had roof racks for his 58 Strato Chief AND 64 Parisienne.....Still have them in the barn....and use them occasionally.....

When we went camping.....the tent and sleeping bags,....etc. ALL went on the roof......

Back then....trucks were for tradesmen....and farmers.......city people just didn't want.... OR drive them....

How things have changed.......

When I grow up....I want to get a big black truck......and drive around like an a**hole with nothing in the box.....sure is ALOT of that going on around here......disbelief

My Dad used to load up 2"x4"x8' and sheets of plywood. Sometimes, my brothers and I had stick our arms out the windows to hold stuff down on the racks! biggrin
