I LIKE IT!!!! Anyone who thinks this is just a demo derby car, should go to the corner of the room right now and bow down your head in shame. Keep your head down and feel your shame until you see the light.

A friend of mine bought a minty fresh 76 Impala 2 door from the original owners estate a few years ago. I drove it home from Toronto for him. I had forgotten how large those barges were, especially in T.O traffic. Not the best at cornering or braking after getting accustomed to modern cars. But by the time I got as far as the airport I was back in the 70's groove again!
Back in the day I had a 72,74, & 75 Caprice convertibles as well as a 73 Parisienne hdtp, 74 Caprice 4 dr hdtp and the longest of that series 74 Pontiac Safari wagoon. All of them were still shorter than my 75 Olds 98 Regency Brougham.
True RoadMonsters by todays standard, but on the 401 at 120kph oh so smooth!!

My grandmother had a 74 Impala that she bought new. She gave it to me when I was about 19. I ended up selling it. Looking back I should have kept it as it was still quite solid.

Then it wouldn't look at home crop touring in Huron County Carl!

I can picture this 100x times on a County Line, either going the other way or parked in a laneway covered in mud or dust & rust!

I agree, holy land barge. First thought was great demo car, car would still be going for round two. But too good of shape for that. Be a good driver, six gallons of gas to the mile, awesome

I was just kidding. That car would likely perform well for many more years.  $2800 over ten years is pretty cheap transportation.
