10 bolt Differential

I have a 10 bolt Differential , axles are good , end bearings, carrier, N 1310 o/p yoke,  no crown or pinion gears.

This differential came out of a 1972 Chevelle.

I am spring cleaning my shop, I live in Bathurst NB

The price is FREE, but if you insist on paying for it, make a donation of your choice to the CP site.

I believe 1972 was the last year for the 8.2..

Thanks

Well guys the casting number is visible , it is N 3969277, definitely a 1972 model, 10 bolt open.
From the pictures I browsed, it looks like an 8.5.
Any way, I have no use for it, It would be sad to see it go for scrap / salvage

My mom bought a brand new 72 Malibu in Dec 71 and it had an 8.5" in it, yes.

O.K. I give, no more spanking please !!!

I like to learn something every day and I just learned that 1972 Chevelles could have an 8.5" diff.
This would be a very desirable unit so hopefully someone will take DEJ up on his generous offer.
Spread the word.

Thanks
Randy

Hey there,
Well the differential is gone to a good home, it will be installed in a 1969 Chevelle.
I am glad it is not going to a salvage yard.
Have a good ( safe) summer on the highways everyone.

Awesome...thanks for realizing what you had and giving the community a chance to repurpose such an animal!
