69 BEAUMONT advice

I'm looking to purchase my first classic car and wanted to start with the Beaumont.   I like the look of the 69 and my personal preference is a car that shows it's age a bit.   I found this ad, but as this is my first and although I love the cars, I know nothing about engines etc and need some help.    Can anyone give me some advice on what to look for, appropriate price etc, when looking for a car that doesn't need to be show ready.  owner said it is a solid driver, just needs paint and odds and ends.   btw, I do know people that can help me keep it running and do some restorations as needed.

Pretty crappy pictures for a car with a asking price of 10 grand. Makes me ask myself a lot of questions in regards to car.

thanks, kinda thought so too, but needed some validation. obviously it needs a paint job and the interior looks a bit rough. no idea what the engine looks like or the work done on it, other then he advised it runs 'solid'.

thanks, that confirms the gut feeling I was having. even if I got it for less money, it may be too much of a project for my first classic car. I saw an ad for a nice little 68 convertible that has caught my eye that I will look into further (evoking my prerogative as a female to change my mind). It looks more likely like a car I would be able to enjoy right away.
