Pretty nice car! You just never see them like that back here in rust country. 283 is added bonus as most of them we're inliners.

Wow, look at that interior! Mint! For the money the seller is asking you could spend that at SMS just to try to duplicate that stock interior. It must be that a 4-door is a tough sell; the seller doesn't want to sit on it for many months before dropping the price. To look that good at 51 years of age is impressive.

Real nice for that kind of money. Won't sit long. Wish it was a little closer to home!

PEOPLE!!! If you want it, they have TRAINS that will deliver it to a train yard near you & reasonable costs!!!!! Friend bought a car 3 yrs. ago out of Vancouver & shipped by train, to Toronto yard!!!! Not very often you find a "clean" car like this CLOSE to HOME!!! My car club member down the street keeps saying the same as you folks, "geez, I'd buy that if it was closer"!!!! I don't need, nor want a 3rd. car, so I'm out!!!!!!!

Pete, I would only want it at it's price and no more. It would probably cost close to 2 Gs to get it from BC to Moncton, NB (the closest end of the train line here), and then I'd have to somehow get it to PEI.

Is that the original upholstery with the "Pontiac" arrowheads?  I thought Acadian and Beaumont were their own entities, separate from Pontiac.

Edit: Answered my own question... lookee there.  The originality of that car for $2500 really makes it attractive for somebody wanting an old 4-door.

Unfortunately, I find myself in that mindset.  To get it trucked all the way east, you're probably looking at around $3000.  Suddenly it becomes a $5500 car with all the risks and hassles of buying something sight unseen.  It may look great in the pics and then you find that the frame is rotten when you get it back.

Think of it this way: if that car was posted at $5500, how many people would be jumping at buying it and saying what a great deal it is?

One of the penalties of living in this lovely part of the country is that you do have to spend more to get nice old cars, because supply-and-demand or the cost of transporting a good one from somewhere else always drives up the price.

Ran around $1500 BC to Toronto by Choo Choo, you can sometimes get a deal by truck if they have an empty spot to fill???  If your looking to 'flip" this car then it doesn't make any sense unless you can negotiate a lower price, but a more door is pretty hard to "unload"

No flipping. I would just drive it on our twisty, narrow, bumpy roads until it crapped out ... that's why I'd just want it for $2500.00, not more.

Unfortunately, there are six in the driveway now so probably not going to convince the wife that we need one more.

You don't have worry about bothering the wife, it's gone.
