cutting previous owners welds? best way?

Hwy guys im in the middle of fitting my floors but just wondering  whats the best method  of cutting the previous  floor owners welds? I've been  just grinding them flat then using a drill bit to cut the rest of the weld! 

Any other info would be greatly appreciated!

if you have enough metal zip cut the whole weld out make sure new part will cover
