Spotted this 28000 mile 62 Laurentian today. I talked to the owner for almost an hour. Nice guy. He found the car in Moose Jaw. A friend towed it to Alberta and stored it during the pandemic. He went out last year and drove it home. Well he went through the US and got as far as Massachusetts when a rear bearing failed. He couldn't find anyone willing to fix it so he had his son come from PEI and tow it the rest of the way. Lots of patina on this one! He needs a drivers front parking light lens if anyone knows of one available.
Wow, thats quite a find for you Todd, Mr. Canadian Poncho. Nice old car.

I see some interesting vehicles belonging to wealthy tourists from overseas who are doing tours of North America and beyond. This interesting rig showed up at work today. It's a "Bremach T-Rex" that, according to Wikipedia was built by an Italian company. The company went out of business in 2022. This 4x4 truck is powered by a turbo-diesel and has a ZF 6 speed transmission. The truck had "World Tour" decals on the doors and had Netherlands plates. Unfortunately the owners wasn't nearby so I couldn't get any more details.
I see 5 or 10 of similar vehicles go through Mahone Bay a year, mostly Mercedes though.

No pics (distracted driving laws) but I just saw a 1969 Firebird Trans Am convertible! White with blue stripes, Ram Air III. It was not the real thing as they only made about 6 or 8 of them, but this one was really well done. Just out near east-end Scarborough.

No pics, I apologize. Today while taking my M.I.L. to an appointment I saw park on Industrial Road in Leaside a nice 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury Fast Top in Light Turquoise with 14" Magnums (typical drum brake car). It looked nice and I wondered what on earth it is doing out when the roads have been brined. It always makes me cringe when I see a classic out in December.

Amazing. I guess JD was too cheap to even get a radio in it.
Meteor Rideau 500. Oakville built. My dad had basically the same stripper car in pale yellow on black, but a 73. Dishes too. Bought from Gemini Lincoln Mercury in Hamilton.

Irving had a fleet of I think LTDs like this, for security they were all identical and I think dark blue. A fellow I met who knew KC Irving would go for lunch with him. KC drove himself everywhere, they would walk out the company office door and jump in a big blue plain Jane 4 door LTD, the keys were in it. Theyd leave it at the restaurant parking lot, keys in it, have lunch, come back out and there would be another LTD parked in a different spot with the keys in the ignition. His security would keep a fresh Ford handy. They had a family member kidnapped in 1982, one of KCs sons.
We repossessed a 1972 Mercedes SEL once, it was the long version bought new by the Sobeys and they had a chauffeur. The car was a beauty, think leather seats, white oak trim, including around the interior glass, and and air bag suspension, plus a big V8, may have been a 6.3. I took it for a test drive, it would do 120 mph easily. The car got sold in St Johns, NL and I think got a full resto.
I didnt know the Irvings had a place in Chester.
