RE: SPOTTED

Im pretty sure i have seen that 65 biscayne way back about 20 years ago driving down stmarys.  never saw it again

The 65 truck is really cool,  clean and solid looking,  never seen it before.  almost a match to my old one.

In the past I wouldn't have taken a second glance, but you just never see these anymore. Zero rust, just oil spray and patina.

Kind of done up rally style. Expedition roof rack, fogs and sporting a big rear stabilizer bar. More here than meets the eye?

A no-rust car like that? Can't even recall the last time I saw one.

I like it too ... a lot, though the rear bumper could have been a little more refined.

Nearly 10 years ago at a local show & shine for charity. 427/4 speed SS. I spoke to the owner who bought it new, here in Regina at the now defunct Hauser Chev Olds. It's had one repaint and he had the heads freshened once. 60-some thousand miles on the clock and he had the documentation on hand, which I failed to take a picture of. (IDIOT!!!)

This looks to be a twin to mine , which has been in pieces for close to 20 years . Will likely never get put back together . I'd love to find out if it is still in the Regina area. Do you recall if it was a L36 dressed up with the open element air cleaner, or was it in fact a L72

May be an image of car and road

This one is almost a twin, near me.

Back in the 80s, my high school auto shop teacher brought home a 427 Grande Parisienne for the motor.

He gave me the body and put the engine in this car.

Young, stupid me, let the car go.

He has passed away now and someone else has redone the car.

L36 decal on the open air cleaner, if memory serves me!

 I'm sorry to hear that.

Is the car still in Regina?

You are right, you don't see them anymore, especially in good condition.

Fortunately for me, I have one, a 73 Biscayne with 19000 original miles, and interestingly, originating in Winnipeg. It came to Newfoundland via Ontario in the late 00's

Even more rare a Biscayne. That has to be one of a handful still left in Canada. Maybe one of a couple with that low mileage?

Cool, looks to be a 69 Calais. When I was 16 our "family" car was a 70 Sedan de Ville, the first car I drove on the road legally. wink

Even in the state it's in, it still looks dignified in some way.

Had to run tools to Simcoe today to help with a break down.

On Highway #3 Between Delhi and Simcoe, Ontario.

Sorry for the zoom shot.

Long laneway and with the current rules, I didn't feel comfortable getting closer.

In my buddies garage Thursday evening. Not a fan of newer style box combinations but being what it is his looks quite nice. Trying to decide on rubber size to fit in there.
