68 GP (American) kijiji NS

Would actually rather have a Canadian GP, but thought this is kinda neat for the money.  Pic quality is not so good, so difficult to know the actual condition of it.

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome Jeff!  I believe we've conversed before on the Hobby Heaven/Spotlight board.

Feel free to post pics and ask questions.  A great bunch of Pontiac people here (US and Canadian).

-Mark

I've never seen a 1968 Grand Prix in person but my only memory of a 68 Grand Prix is from the movie Good Fellas and we all know what was in the trunk.....

I've seen a few 68 Grand Prix's at the POCI nationals.   A fellow in Calgary got one last year down in the USA, and drove it home.  Very nice car.

It's been quite a while since I've been on the Canadian Poncho site as I used to post some here back a few years ago while we were working on my son's 1970 Acadian, I do business with Dale and the crew from NOS from my autoglass shop Classic Auto Glass and I recall some of the folks on here from back in that time. I have my 70 Buick GS almost finished and was looking for a '68 or '69 GS to restore but they are hard to find down here in the east so when the GP came up for sale the ol' Pontiac spirit must have arose once again and I thought it would make for a challenging restoration. Thanks for the support folks and I promise I'll try to get some pics up heresoon, but I do have a few up on my FB page if you'd like to check them out.
Thanks again,
Jeff Corey

Hi Mark! Nice to find you again, I've let the model building slip a bit in the past few years but still keep in contact with some of the old HH/Spotlight crew on FB nowadays.

A very unique Pontiac, congrats! Only year for that body and the distinct halo vinyl top.

I gave a real nice 68 light green dash pad to the fellow here in Calgary that bought his 68 Grand Prix last summer.  He didn't really need it, but I was looking to clear up some space.   I also know a guy who might still have a 68 Ralley speedo cluster.

Hey Jeff, it was good to see your post here, an I'm glad you've ended up with it.  The ad for that car tempted me a few times, but in the end the timing wasn't right for me.  Truthfully the car is in better hands now as I know you will do it justice.

I haven't been building the models in a number of years now, but I intend to get back to it soon.  I still have all my stuff and still watch the Spotlight board from time to time to keep up with the modeling community.  Unfortunately I haven't delved into the world of facebook, so it's not an option open to me at the moment.

Good to see a familiar name posting here.  As you know it's a great site... enjoy and good luck on your project!
