63 Parisienne Questions 2 door HT

I'm from the dark side, Chevy x frames. To put a 4 speed in a 63 with bench seat- what did they have for an original "console"? It is a powerglide, what clutch pedals will fit, will a 62 Bel Air pedals fit?

Is all the frame, gas tank, brake lines, brakes, and suspension in the Pontiac the same as in a 63 Chev? It looks the same as on my 62 Bel Air. Is the glass the same as a Chevy 2 door hardtop with the same style roof- the Impala 62, 63, 64? I assume it is not the same windshield as a 63 Pontiac 2 door post?

It is style 7847, paint A, trim 922, and a U63 code. Is that a 2 door sport coupe, black out, red in, and the U63, is that powerglide?

I had a 59 El Camino 283, and 2 62 Bel Air sport coupe projects so am familiar with x frames and thought the 63 Canadian Pontiac was mechanically the same underneath that body. My dad sold Pontiacs new from 57-68 and my uncle had a new 63 Parisienne sport coupe, 327 4 speed, white with red interior. I also remember when I was very young dad brought home a new 58 Parisienne 2 door sport coupe with air suspension, it was a copper colour.

Thanks for any help.

Don

Mechanically that car should be almost exact to a 63 chevrolet. I have 64 Pontiacs and a 64 impala and they are the same. The dash is different and wiring is different for it. There is a minor engine harness difference with regard to the idiot light in the chevrolet and gauge in the pontiac for the alternator. As far as I know a 4 speed bench car did not have a console it had a leather boot on the floor. When I order parts for my canadian pontiac I most often ask for impala parts so they get things right. PM me for contact info if you want to have a deeper conversation with interchange from chevrolet to impala. I've been there done that with my... uh... fleet? ? ?

First digit 3 is model year(1963) next 4 digits is model number (7847) v8 sport coupe.

u63 is push button am radio. M35 would be power glide.

No console ... a rubber boot with a trim plate.

It is a powerglide, what clutch pedals will fit,

'63 - '64.

will a 62 Bel Air pedals fit?

Nope.

Is all the frame, gas tank, brake lines, brakes, and suspension in the Pontiac the same as in a 63 Chev? It looks the same as on my 62 Bel Air.

1963 Canadian Pontiac ... Yep. There are subtle differences in other years

Is the glass the same as a Chevy 2 door hardtop with the same style roof- the Impala 62, 63, 64?

Belair, Biscayne, Parisienne ... Yep.

I assume it is not the same windshield as a 63 Pontiac 2 door post?

Not 100 % sure ...

It is style 7847, paint A, trim 922, and a U63 code. Is that a 2 door sport coupe, black out, red in, and the U63, is that powerglide?

See above.

I had a 59 El Camino 283, and 2 62 Bel Air sport coupe projects so am familiar with x frames and thought the 63 Canadian Pontiac was mechanically the same underneath that body.

Yep.

You never know eh BJ? I've always had a real love for Canadian Pontiacs, especially 63's. Nice Beaumont you have there too.

So I bought the car, it has a "350" and PG, PS, PB, and came with a 63 2 door post parts car, which had no motor or tranny, but has clutch pedals BJ.
