I think they are longer and you have to cut the front driveshaft, maybe modify the tranny mount. There may also be a problem with where the shifter comes up through the floor if you have a bench seat.

Carl is right on the T5, won't stand up to any 'abuse" for very long!!!! especially if you've got any HP in front of it. I went with a tremec TK 500 in the 52, works really well, got almost 25 MPG on trip to West Virginia w/ 3:42 gears out back & close to 400 Hp & can "pound' on it all day long. Shifter comes straight up on top of trans, so a "bench seat could be a problem but the T5 is the same, just depends on tail extension as to 'where it comes up [ car or truck trans] Syncros in T5 are weak but the W/C [world class] is the better one, but still will give you problems if pounded!!!
