Yeah, flat black paint is often the kiss of death to an old car.  Good chance there's some spray foam bodywork hiding under it.

There does look to be a lot of great pickings on that one, though.

 Whoa!  You're satin black job is not what I was referring to.  It looks great on your car and captures the look you were after.

I was referring to the roller flat black jobs done in an afternoon to cover up bad bodywork and mismatched panels on somebody's beater...
